The Spice Girls

The Spice Girls have released the first single off of their Greatest Hits album - “Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)” which was co-written by Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton. You can hear the ballad in the video below. You know, I really like it. Obviously the girls are more mature and it shows through in this song.

Most of the song is sung by Melanie C., and the rest of the Spice Girls offer up the chorus. The song also is this year’s BBC Children in Need charity single, which will be released online on November 5 and in stores on November 19.

A Spice Girls documentary is in the works - Spice Girls: Giving You Everything, and it will tell the story of the history of the Spice Girls to present day. It will be directed by Bob Smeaton, the Emmy Award winning director who also worked on The Beatles Anthology. They’ll post on their website as to when the documentary will air.

So take a listen for yourself and tell me what you think about “Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)”. The video is below.
