Serena Autieri is an Italian Actress

Meet Serena Autieri! Not only is she a great actress, she is a beautiful singer as well with her gifted given voice. She has had great successful this past year playing the role of the school teacher, Elisabetta Palani in the movie “Notte Prima degli Esami-Oggi�? (The Night Before the Exam-Today). The movie “Notte Prima degli Esami-Oggi�? has had such great success within the public and its critics that it has received dozens of awards, one of them including an MTV Award. Its director won the 2007 Nastro d’Argento (Silver Ribbon) as “Personage of the Year�?.

Serena Autieri was born in Naples, Italy 1976, where she immediately began her studies in recital, classical dance, and singing. Her professor was Antonio de Ciutis, grandson of the famous actor, Totò. She graduated from the Institute of Art in Naples and then enrolled herself in the department of architecture.

In 1997, she marked her first solo record, “Anima Soul�? where she gained enough fame to play a role as the singer Sara De Vito, in the small television series, “Un Posto Al Sole�? (A Spot Under the Sun) the following year. Around the same period, she began to assist in other roles such as “Lupi�? in the production of Fabio Segatori. In 2002, she developed even more recognition and was filled with events and shows. She then got the spot as the main protagonist for channel RAI 2 in the fictional soap opera, “Vento di Ponente�? (Wind of the West) where she played the role of the marine archeologist, Francesca Ghiglione. As her debut continued in Rai, her versatile career brought her another role in “Tutti I Sogni del Mondo�? (All the Dreams in the World); a television/movie split in four episodes where she interpreted the character of a young, rebellious woman who aside from being abandoned by her husband with her baby at hand, she proves to reach her objectives. Serena also gave use of her great voice singing the tune of the television/movie. In the 2002-2003 season the Compagnia della Rancia chose Serena as the protagonist for the musical “Bulli e Pupe�? (Guys and Dolls) where she later met Pippo Baudo for whom ‘discovered’ Serena and invited her to conduct the 53rd Festival della Canzone Italiana di Sanremo (Sanremo Italian Music Festival). Under the bright lights and red curtains at the Ariston Theater she was loved greatly by the grand public for the first time.

Later on she played the main role with Massimo Ghini in the musical Vacanze Romane (Roman Vacations) directed by Pietro Garinei, where it was presented for the first time in the Sistina Theater in Rome on the 17th of February, 2003. It went on tour the following years from 2004-2005. In 2004 she ran into her first movie, “Sara May�? produced by Marianna Sciveres. The following period she played in smaller roles in various miniseries such as “La Maledizione dei Templari�? (2005) by Josee Dayan, and “Callas e Onassis�? (2005) by Giorgio Capitani and “L’Onore e il Rispetto�? (2006) by Salvatore Samperi.

In 2007 she acted the main role of the school teacher, Elisabetta Paliani, in the movie “Notte Prima degli Esami-Oggi�? (The Night Before the Exams-Today) produced by Fausto Brizzi and later played a different role in the movie “Liola�? directed by Gabriele Lavia.

She has also worked in publicity, acting in some of the main commercials such as that of a well known chocolate brand.
