Award-Winning Dancer and Choreographer Wade Robson
The Dancing with the Stars stage was on fire last night as award-winning Australian dancer and choreographer Wade Robson performed a brilliant “fun house themed” dance in his first television performance in four years.
As a child, Robson performed as a back-up dancer for Michael Jackson, and went on to direct music videos and world tours for artists such as N’Sync and Britney Spears. (Perhaps Britney’s now infamous VMA’s performance would have gone differently under the direction of Wade Robson.)

The song is named “Hi”, artist Psapp. Just bought it on itunes- LOVE the song- as well as performance.

I don’t care what anyone thinks about Wade. He is one of the most brilliant choreographers ever. People were making fun of his performance on the show. These people are so cynical and hypocritical. All real dancers know he is phenomenal.

I’m a dance/movement therapist, lover of modern dance. I think that Wade Robson is one of the most exciting choreographers ever. I have watched the video 10 times a day - every time I need a boost of energy, and have just bought the song on i-tunes. As I said to my daughter, “I love Wade Robson. I want to BE Wade Robson.” But he’s already got that job.

This performance was electrifying. Subsequent performances on Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) were lame by comparison. Everything just felt like they were copying Robson. The guys that did “the biggest dance set piece we’ve ever done” worked 5 times as hard and only got 1/10th the results. This guy had the right artistic vision - he’s a true artist. The DWTS “magician” themed performance really felt like a rip off of Robson’s circus, and the music they used was just not right at all. In Robson’s piece, when the Raggedy Ann dolls turn and the light comes up on that big set with the army of dancers on there, I get major goosebumps. At that point you realize that this piece is going to be bigger and better than you ever expected.
