Ben Affleck is on the cover of the November issue of Details Magazine’s. In the issue, he talks about dating Jennifer Lopez, on his new movie, Gone Baby Gone, and life in Los Angeles.
Dating Jennifer Lopez “was probably bad for my career”, said Affleck. In his high profile relationship with Jennifer back in 2002 - 2004, he blamed the media for all of the lies and that they “inflated a bunch of salacious stuff” for the sake of selling magazines. He said he ended up paying the price for that.
He acknowledges that he has a lot riding on his directorial debut of his new movie, Gone Baby Gone. “I want [the film] to work. Badly. I mean, a shitty movie comes out on 2,800 screens? I’ve been there and it’s embarrassing.â€?
As far as life in L.A. with wife Jennifer Garner and their 2-year-old daughter Violet, he sees himself as probably living there only a couple more years:
“I’d be surprised if I’m still living here in a couple of years. Professionally it would be difficult. But that’s not as important as that other thing.�
