Gwen Stefani kicked off her ‘This Is What the Truth Feels Like Tour with a concert in Boston and social media is buzzing. Get the full setlist and see the photos and video of this, the beginning of the music superstar’s first solo tour in seven years.

Gwen Stefani

The last time Gwen Stefani of No Doubt fame toured as a solo artist — or toured at all, period — was in 2009, and that seems like an eon ago back in the ‘Hollaback Girl’ era of the mid- to late Aughts. Now, this time around, she’s back under quite different circumstances, not least as one half of the music world’s most talked about power couple with country music superstar Blake Shelton.

The new album from which the tour takes its name, as fans and most everyone knows by now, ‘This Is What the Truth Feels Like’ chronicles that unfolding love story that began in the aftermath of divorce for them both, from Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, respectively. It was nearly a year ago that she debuted ‘Used to Love You’ in a live concert and just a few months later, ‘Make Me Like You’ was her signal that she’d not only moved on again, but found love.

As ET reports, she told MLB Network about her long hiatus, and the concerns she’d had, saying, “I had wanted to write for a really long time and nothing was really coming … I had children and [I] had life going on.” She went on to say, “So I kind of accepted I wasn’t gonna do any more.”

And of course, as the entire world has witnessed much has changed in less than a year or, as she herself put it, working on the new album was her attempt to “make myself feel better, and it worked!” Yes, resoundingly so!

For those who weren’t in the Boston area to attend the concert live at Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts, it was live streamed on Yahoo! Music. As always, Gwen Stefani delivered not just a thrilling live concert, but countless costumes that prove she’s still a reigning fashion icon. Who else could rock a mini-skirt and leggins made out of red Scottish tartan?!

Naturally social media exploded. Blake Shelton joined the frenzy, posting a pic on Twitter, saying, “Wow… I am a terrible photographer but this is an epic thing to see!!!” For her part, Stefani herself was documenting behind-the-scenes on Snapchat.

As for the set-list of the long- awaited concert, it’s a mix of the new songs with plenty of No Doubt classics mixed in, including the 2001 smash hit ‘Hella Good’ and of course, her own iconic ‘Hollaback Girl.
