Khloe Kardashian is stunning in a minimal makeup photo shoot for Harper’s Bazaar. You can see the pics here and find out what she had to say about being “fat shamed,” losing weight, coping with fame and much more.

Khloe Kardashian

This is not just another photo shoot, to say the least. These new photos of the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star have the potential to become iconic and timeless. Some are in black and white and, she is notably sporting a naturalistic look. Not quite makeup free, yes, but rather close. According the magazine, she is wearing “minimal makeup, a natural nude nail lacquer, and no shoes.” And the effect is striking, yes, and equal credit goes to the photographer and to the stylists, of course.

But that said, Khloe Kardashian reveals her svelte physique in clothing that is similarly minimal. Solid colors, alluring without being overly racy. It goes to show, a celebrity doesn’t have to dispense with clothing to draw notice.

In the wide-ranging interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she opened up about the changes she’s observed in the aftermath of her impressive 40-pound weight loss in the years since she originally split from estranged husband Lamar Odom. She said that she had not, from the outset planned to lose weight but that going to the gym had become a solace for her before the split. She said, “My home [with Odom] was dark and toxic” and that the family didn’t know about it. She went on to say, “It was the biggest secret I’ve kept. I just needed a place to go.”

But now, nearly 40 pounds later, and a New York Times bestselling book, “Strong Looks Better Naked,” to boot, weight loss and healthy lifestyle has become part of her brand.

Reflecting upon that, she said, “I definitely think the fashion industry, and people in general, look at me more now that I’ve lost weight. Even on shoots, I would never have options for clothing. There would always be this attention on Kourtney and Kim, but I was too much work for [stylists] or they had nothing in my size. I wasn’t even that crazy big!”

Continuing, she added, “Other people actually said, ‘I just can’t work with you’—because I was too big. That always hurt my feelings, of course.”

She went on to reveal that now, the stylists do want to dress her. And her reaction? Well, it’s the signature candor that her tens of millions of followers have come to expect. She said, “I’m just like, ‘F–k you. I’m not going to reward your bad behavior.’”

She also spoke about the life in the spotlight, and said, ““The thing I dislike the most [about being a Kardashian] is the judgment on us. If I want to go out with a group of friends, it’s never as harmless as that. There has to be some story the next day that I’m dating somebody.”

She also spoke about what it was like meeting people for the first time, knowing that they already may have preconceived notions. She said, “Sometimes I feel like I have to prove people wrong, and that’s weird. It’s easy to meet people, but you don’t know if you’re meeting them for the right reasons. Knowing who to trust is hard.”
