Leighton Meester Is A Gossip Girl (Photos and Video)

Leighton is currently the star of CW’s Gossip Girl. The show is based on a book series of two Upper East Side girls in New York who live the privileged life. Read more about it here.

Leighton Meester was born April 9, 1986 in Marco Island, Florida. She got the acting bug when she appeared in a local production of The Wizard of Oz. She moved with her family to New York City at age 11 and soon began working as a model with Wilhemina.

She has appeared in numerous TV shows – Law & Order, Crossing Jordan, 7th Heaven, 24, and 8 Simple Rules, to name a few. She is probably best known as playing “Savannah Bennett” on NBC’s Surface.

As a filmography, Leighton made her film debut in Hangman’s Curse in 2003. Hollywood Division, Flourish, Inside, Drive-Thru, The Beautiful Ordinary, and now Killer Movie (which she just finished filming) rounds out the list of movies for which she is credited.
