Adele continues to set records around the world with her new album ’25,’ whose release has become a phenomena unto itself. The best selling album of the past year, it looks to be on track to be this year’s bestseller as well. Her ‘Hello’ single, that reintroduced her to the world, aside from being a chart topper all over the world has given rise to a virtual industry of parodies, spoofs, gifs, memes and more.

Now she conquers Vogue magazine, and gives us one of her typically candid, lively wide-ranging interviews.

She has lost weight in the past, and made headlines for it. This time around, she tells ‘Vogue’ that she has lost more weight. She says, “I was trying to get some stamina for my tour, so I lost a bit of weight. Now I fit into normal, off-the-shelf clothes – which is really a big problem for me!”

The ’21’ album of 2011 had success that spanned across more than that calendar year, along with the incredible worldwide sales, it gave us what are sure to be some of this decade’s biggest hits, ‘Rolling in the Deep’ and more.Since those ’21’ days, Adele has become the mother of a son, Angelo James Konecki, with longtime boyfriend Simon Konecki.

She said of her young son, now three years old, that he “makes me very proud of myself.” She went on to elaborate and said, “When I became a parent, I felt like I was truly living. I had a purpose, where before I didn’t. My main thing is Mum, then it’s me, then it’s work.”

As for her musical hiatus, Adele said, “I think I had to take the right amount of time off to let people miss me.”

To say she was missed is an understatement given the frenzy that has ensued since her return. She added, “”I didn’t miss being in the spotlight, but I really missed that side of myself. I was happy to be lost in the wilderness for a while, but I was a bit frightened that I was never going to get back. I suppose there was lots riding on what to follow ’21’ up with.”

Continuing, she said, “Once ‘Hello’ came out, I felt like I’d got nothing to prove. I’m just going to sing now because I want to, and I’ll make records when I want to and not because someone is forcing me to do it. Not that anyone ever has. I’d fire them if they tried!”

As for touring the world — the next highly anticipated venture in Adele’s musical journey that sees the rest of us along for the ride — she said, ““I’m only touring for the fans, to see the people that changed my life.” She went on to add, “There’s no need for me to tour. I’ll always be nervous, worrying whether I’m going to be good enough. And the adrenaline is so exhausting.”
