Carrie Underwood opened up about her post-baby body fitness success and shared her favorite workout in an interview at New York Fashion Week where she debuted her new active wear clothing line, Calia.
It’s quite a return to the public spotlight for the 33-year-old country music superstar just months after giving birth to her first child, with husband Mike Fisher. It would be quite a handful to debut a new single and to promote the much anticipated album.
And yes, while Carrie Underwood had a hot new single on her hands in ‘Smoke Break’ and a new album, ‘Storyteller’ that fans can’t wait to get hold of, she’s also just made her debut at New York Fashion Week with an affordable line of activewear for which she partnered with retailer Dick’s Sporting Goods.
And she was dazzling at NYFW, as you can see in photos below, and it was there that she gave an interview to E!News and talked about, among other things, her post-baby body workout. Clearly, that’s yet another achievement, to have regained her slim physique so quickly, as she debuted back in June on the concert stage at the CMT Awards.
She said to E!News, “I feel good. I work out if and when I can. I’ve tried to focus more on my eating and stuff like that, fueling up right.”
She continued, and added, “I don’t get to work out as much as I used to, but that’s OK. And I feel good and I feel healthy and I feel strong.”
As for her favorite workout, it’s something quite attainable for the masses; it’s not an expensive class or a one-on-one session with a celebrity trainer.
Carrie Underwood said, “I like to run. I found myself running more this summer than I ever have…it just seems to have worked better in my schedule.”
Yes, running, the old mainstay. Could she be a future cover star for the likes of Runners World?
In another interview during NYFW, according to New York Daily News, she said of her fashion line, “I noticed that if it works, it’s not attractive. And if you’re gonna wear it outside, it’s just cute and that’s all,’ the blonde beauty explained. ‘So there needed to be something that could bridge that gap.”
And it may well be a winner. It’s already in stores and online and, best of all, affordable. Why spend thousands for yoga pants, after all, if one doesn’t have to!
