The first full-length trailer for ‘Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation’ has debuted with returning star Tom Cruise reprising his role as Ethan Hunt for the fifth time along with costars Jeremy Renner, Ving Rhames, and Simon Pegg. . Once again, the mere preview of the anticipated blockbuster has caused a stir.

Tom Cruise

This was a trailer which was preceded by a one-minute teaser trailer, continuing what’s become a new trend of teaser trailers for trailers which, lest we forget, are for the movie itself.

Impossible Mission Force disbanded by the chief of the CIA (played by Alec Baldwin), but Hunt and his team get back together to battle the Syndicate, a so-called “rogue nation” made up of assassins that is the “anti-IMF.” Sean Harris portrays the key villain, with Rebecca Ferguson coming on board as a new ally.

And in this case the fifth installment in the hugely popular Mission Impossible franchise. What began long ago as an iconic 1960s television show has become an international phenomena synonymous with its star Tom Cruise and the Impossible Mission Force (IMF), and in particular its star’s penchant for daredevil stunts. How can we forget the Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol stunts, after all, most notably including the memorable scaling of the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai.

On that count, the trailer does not disappoint, as we have already heard about one of these amazing new stunts; Tom Cruise gripping the wing of an Airbus A400 as it takes off.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie we are in for a thrill ride once again in this latest iteration of one of our most popular action series. As for the titular “rogue nation,” we find that it is the “Syndicate” which is comprised of “anti-IMF” assassins.

As the movie begins with our beloved IMF disassembled, so to speak, by the CIA director portrayed in this sequel by Alec Baldwin; the emphasis is on the “so to speak,” for after all, what mere mortal could truly split up the IMF? Nonetheless, that’s premise enough for plenty of over-the-top action as they handily reassemble themselves and go to battle against the sworn enemy.

The movie opens in theaters on July 31st. Watch the first official full-length Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation trailer video below!
