The first trailer for ‘Paper Towns’ has premiered. The movie costars Cara Delevingne and Nat Wolff and is based on the novel of the same title by John Green, author of ‘The Fault In Our Stars.’ To say there’s anticipation for this new romantic comedy mystery is an understatement.

‘Paper Towns’ was directed by directed by Jake Schreier and, as noted, is based on the New York Times bestselling YA novel by John Greene, author of ‘The Fault in Our Stars,’ whose screen adaptation starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort became a box office hit last year. Nat Wollf was part of the supporting cast of that movie, portraying Elgort’s character’s best friend Isaac.

Thus there’s been much anticipation of this latest big screen realization of a Greene novel. While the previous one was a weepie, with two young cancer survivors as its main characters, this one, in contrast is a romantic comedy mystery-thriller set in Orlando, Florida. The book was much heralded as it won critical claim as well as the Edgar Award for Best Young Adult Mystery in 2009.

And if that were not enough to drum up excitement, the movie also marks 22-year-old supermodel Cara Delevingne’s first major screen role after the last few years of bit parts in such movies as ‘Anna Karenina.’

This time around, she is front and center as Margo, the young woman in the neighborhood whom the teenager Quentin — known as “Q” — portrayed by Nat Wollf becomes obsessed. And, we know how such obsessions can go. In this case, the novel sees Margo mysteriously vanish. The book took readers on quite the thrill ride and from the looks of the trailer, the movie will do the same.

Also costarring as Q’s friends are Austin Abrams and Justice Smith. The movie opens in theaters on July 24th. Watch the first official ‘Paper Towns’ trailer video below!
