‘Glee’ star Lea Michele opened about a variety of topics including plastic surgery as well as how it was that she drank when still a toddler and more in a lively and candid interview with ‘Chelsea Lately’ host Chelsea Handler.

The 27-year-old actress and singer Lea Michele has hit the talk-show circuit for her new book, ‘Brunette Ambition’ which is part self-help, part memoir. In it she shares health, fitness and beauty tips.

That is how the subject of alcohol entered the conversation and Michele the story of when she began drinking, at home with her family. She said, “I’m Italian, so it was like at the dinner table it would be Pellegrino, a jug of soda, and a huge thing of wine. So everyone was just drinking wine, like it was part of, like, you know, what you would have along with your dinner.” I mean, that’s not so crazy. But it might seem a little crazy when you’re sitting at your boyfriend’s family’s dinner table, dumbfounded and asking, “Where’s the wine?”

She also shared a story a meeting with a potential manager who wanted her to get cosmetic surgery. It’s a story which mirrors that of her fictional ‘Glee’ character Rachel Barry who considers getting a nose job because of her “ethnic” appearances.

As it happened in real life, Lea Michele, explained that the prospective manager her how old she was. When she told the woman that she was 13 years old, she replied, “Great. As soon as you turn 15, it’s time for a nose job.”

As a result, she and her mother declined to sign with the manager, and Lea Michele said of the recommended nose job, “Obviously I didn’t get it done. And wherever she is, she can go f–k herself!”

She also surprised the viewing audience with her story of what happened to her when she was at President Barack Obama’s inauguration where she was scheduled to perform with the cast of ‘Glee.’ She was nervous, and said that her friend and then fellow cast member, ‘Looking’ star Jonathan Groff, with the best of intentions wanted to calm her nerves.

She said, “He decided that the best thing to do before I went on to sing for the president was to make me laugh so hard that I peed my pants, like, everywhere,” Michele said.

Yes, it has not been a dull moment since the ‘Glee’ star turned pop music star and published author has hit the airwaves! See highlights of her conversation with Chelsea Handler below.
