Paula Patton opens up about her estranged husband Robin Thicke in an interview for Vanity Fair. She also poses for a sensuous photo spread which sees her poolside topless, with spike heels, thus making quite a splash, so to speak, while staying dry.

The 38-year-old actress and her 38-year-old husband, R&B music superstar Robin Thicke of ‘Blurred Lines’ fame had a much publicized split after months of cheating allegations and pictures of him being cozy with attractive women other than his wife. His controversial performance alongside the twerking Miley Cyrus was often rumored to be a factor in the couple’s separation.

The couple met as teens in a club for teenagers in L.A. and thus have a long history, to which she references. “He wasn’t my first kiss,” she told Vanity Fair, “but he was my first lots of other things.”

As for the future, she merely said, “We’ve known each other since we were teenagers. All I can tell you is there’s a deep love there — always was, and always will be.”

The comments are notable as they are her first since she and Robin Thicke released a joint statement that they were separating. In the days that followed, Thicke made one public appeal after another in his attempts to win his wife back, including dedicating songs to her during his live concert appearances, most notably in Virginia, in which he addressed the audience — and thereafter the whole world thanks to YouTube videos which predictably went viral — telling them, “I’m trying to get my girl back. She’s a good woman.”

A couple since their teen years, they got married in 2005 and have one son together, Julian who is four years old. For years they graced the red carpet together, and Patton appeared in on one of his music videos, ‘Lost without U.’
