Zac Efron, star of ‘That Awkward Moment’ talked about his broken jaw and more in a lively television interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He spoke in detail about the accident, the six weeks of having his jaw wired shut and living on a liquid diet as well as other topics, including the first time he met Seth Rogen.

Zac Efron is one of the three stars of the new R rated romantic comedy ‘That Awkward Moment’ written and directed by Tom Gormican’ alongside Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan.

While the 26-yaer-old actor had plenty to say about the movie, he began the interview by speaking out in detail about the accident he had recently which resulted in a broken jaw.

Zac Efron began, saying, “I actually broke my jaw; I was running through my house and I slipped and fell on my face. I was like running through my house. I slipped and fell.” He then added, “Let me start over, because the story starts kind of cool. I have a fountain in my house. That’s kind of dope, right?” Yes, the studio audience reacted favorably and one could imagine that few among them had such at home. He went on to say, “So I was running through my house and slipped on water and hit my chin on the fountain in my house. It’s not a big fountain, but it’s a fountain in my house.”

He went on to say, “Luckily my brother was there. I was like, am I okay?” His brother told him he was not, and off he went to the hospital.

He spoke of the six weeks of having his jaw wired shut, saying, “It was pretty gnarly. I was drinking foods solidly for six weeks—only liquid foods.” Jimmy Kimmel quizzed him a bit on his liquid cuisine asking him if he was getting special foods or using Vitamix. Zac Efron said, “A little bit of both,” noting he was giving the Vitamix company a shout-out. He added, “It sucked. I lost, like, 10 to 12 pounds.” He and Jimmy Kimmel joked about the new diet plan….”First, get a fountain in your house…”

In speaking about ‘That Awkward Moment,’ he said, “The movie follows three guys sort of dating in New York. It’s awesome. This sounds weird to say but people are calling it ‘Sex and the City’ for guys. It is a romantic comedy, but even that term sounds weird.” He then dropped the F-bomb, which, of course was bleeped — as he had concluded that ‘That Awkward Moment’ was “f–king hilarious.” Kimmel mentioned the now famous scene of a horizontal Zac Efron naked on the toilet and Efron said the scene “was all improv.”

Along with ‘That Awkward Moment,’ Zac Efron will be seen later this spring in Seth Rogen’s movie ‘Neighbors’ and later in the interview, he also talked about how starstruck he was by him and how they first met.

He said, “The first time I met Seth I had just done ‘High School Musical’ or ‘High School Musical 2′ I could not walk by him without just saying how much of a fan I was. I genuinely just had to tell him how much I loved his work and how much I looked up to him.”

He went on to say, “He looks at me like, ‘Daammit. I just wanted to hate you. Before you came over here and we had this conversation, I genuinely just wanted to dislike you for every single reason known to man.'” Well, obviously, Seth Rogen did not succeed in his quest to dislike the former ‘High School Musical’ star!

He also spoke about being star struck by other stars and his habit of saving voicemail messages. He revealed that among these voicemails he had saved, he still had one from Michael Jackson.
