Robin Wright Engaged to Ben Foster: Engagement Ring Photos

January 12, 2014

Robin Wright is engaged to Ben Foster. The ‘House of Cards’ star and her ‘Lone Survivor’ star fiance walked the red carpet after the official announcement from her rep, and her engagement ring was on full display.

People magazine was first to report on the engagement, which was confirmed by the 47-year-old Robin Wright’s rep. She and 33-year-old Ben Foster stepped out for the first time as an engaged couple at legendary designer Diane von Furstenberg’s Journey of a Dress event celebrating the new exhibition which marks the 40th anniversary of her iconic wrap dress. Wright’s 22-year-old daughter, Dylan Penn, also attended.

Red carpet photos from the event are below. Closeup photos of Robin Wright’s engagement ring can be seen here.

Robin Wright is the former wife of Sean Penn and is the mother of their two children, the aforementioned Dylan Penn and a 20-year-old son Hopper Penn. At the time, she was known professionally as Robin Wright Penn. Her first marriage was to actor Dane Witherspoon in the 1980s.

She first met Ben Foster on the set of the movie ‘Rampart’ and began stepping out as a couple sometime in 2012. As is typical, the age difference of 14 years between the partners drew some attention and notice underscoring the still-existing double standard. Were it reversed, and Foster the older partner, it would be thought of as the norm.

Robin Wright is among the costars, alongside Kevin Spacey of ‘House of Cards,’ the critically acclaimed hit Netflix series which has received several Golden Globe nominations. She portrays as Claire Underwood, wife of Kevin Spacey’s character Frank Underwood.

Ben Foster is among the co-stars of Peter Berg’s movie ‘Lone Survivor’ based on the book about a failed Navy SEAL team mission in Afghanistan. He will next be seen on the silver screen portraying Lance Armstrong in an upcoming biopic of the fallen sports hero and philanthropist.
