Watch the first teaser trailer for ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ with Chris Evans as the title character, the iconic patriotic Marvel superhero and his alter ego Steve Rogers. Anticipation builds for the new movie which is the sequel to ‘Captain America: The First Avenger.’

The full teaser trailer video has been added below. It was kept under wraps, and for a day it was still under wraps. Marvel Entertainment gave us a teaser of the teaser trailer. It was the first glimpse of the movie, which was followed, a day later by full-length version which was added below as soon as it debuted. But for a full 24 hours, we had nothing but 10 seconds which, in retrospect, was better than zero so we can count ourselves lucky!

The movie’s star, the 32-year-old Chris Evans has become a veteran of superhero movies, having portrayed Johnny Storm a.k.a. Human Torch in two of the ‘Fantastic Four’ movies, as well as Captain America in the original 2011 movie — which saw his transformation from the frail and ill Steve Rogers into the patriotic superhero. He also starred as Captain America in ‘The Avengers’ of 2012.

The movie also stars Scarlett Johansson who reprises her role as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Natasha Romanoff a.k.a. Black Widow and yes, she is in the trailer which speeds by quickly. We know from the official synopsis that she will team up with Captain America along with another ally, Sam Wilson a.k.a. Falcon portrayed by Anthony Mackie.

Portraying the other title character, the Winter Solder, a.k.a. James “Bucky” Barnes — who tragically becomes a brainwashed assassin and nemesis — is Sebastian Stan.

Screen favorite Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role as director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Fury. Also starring in the movie for the first time is screen legend Robert Redford, portraying Alexander Pierce, Fury’s S.H.I.E.L.D. boss in the World Security Council.

The movie also stars Sebastian Stan, Cobie Smulders, Georges St-Pierre, Frank Grillo, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, and Maximiliano Hernández. It opens in theaters on April 4, 2014.
