Watch the first red-band trailer of ‘That Awkward Moment’ starring Zac Efron, Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan. Get the first glimpse of the hot young stars in the highly anticipated romantic comedy!

The R-rated comedy was written and directed by Tom Gormican, in his feature film directorial debut. It was previously known as “Are We Officially Dating?” With either title, it evokes situations that many can identify with, in navigating the unpredictable and sometimes anxiety-provoking realm of romantic and would-be romantic relationships.

Three best friends living in New York City face just those circumstances in their lives. Jason, Daniel, and Mikey are portrayed respectively by the lead actors Zac Efron, Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan. The movie also co-stars Jessica Lucas, Imogen Poots, and Parker Block.

The casting has drawn notice. Zac Efron, 25, of ‘High School Musical’ fame in the aftermath of a publicly acknowledged stint in rehab, is in hopefully a comeback role. He also starred in the JFK assassination drama, “Parkland.”

Michael B. Jordan, 26, has had universal praise and spectacular reviews for his portrayal in Ryan Coogler’s “Fruitvale Station” of the real-life Oscar Brand, who was killed by a police officer in the early hours of New Year’s Day in 2009 in Oakland, California. It had its premiere at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. Miles Teller, 26, had a breakthrough role as an aimless high school student in James Ponsoldt’s critically acclaimed movie “The Spectacular Now” which also premiered at Sundance.

The release of the movie coincides with Valentine’s Day which, as in the floral industry, does not go unnoticed in the film industry. The difference here is that the movie centers around the three male friends and their camaraderie which, as seen in the red-band trailer, can get bawdy! There are also brief glimpses of nudity — namely Zac Efron’s butt — a sex toy, and NSFW language.

The movie opens in theaters on January 31, 2014. The full-length trailer is below!
