Newlywed ‘Arrow’ Star Stephen Amell Wants To Host SNL

Actor Stephen Amell of ‘Arrow’ fame has shared that he would like to host the long running weekend variety show, Saturday Night Live.  Amell tweeted his desires this past week with the hopes of making his dreams a reality.

“It’s important to vocalize your dreams. Which is why I just told @sethmeyers21 I want to host SNL.” the performer wrote.  It wouldn’t be a surprise if the 31-year old headlines the comedy show what with his career hitting a high these days due to the success of his CW series where he plays the wealthy vigilante Oliver Queen.

Amell has also making the headlines after his Christmas Day wedding where he tied the knot with his girlfriend Cassandra Jean.  Prior to flying to to the Caribbean, where they were married in a sunset ceremony on the beach, Amell tweeted a cryptic message. “2012 was the greatest year of my life. Heading off to put the finishing touches on it. See you next year.”

Following their nuptials, Amell and his 27-year old bride relocated their wedding to St. Bart’s to celebrate the New Year’s Eve as husband and wife.

Jean, a former America’s Top Model contestant. tweeted a message following the ceremony. “Sunset, complete with full moon. Unforgettable afternoon.”  This marks the first marriage for both.

Jean is most notable for her appearance in the Tyra Banks  shows where she chopped off her beautiful brown hair for the competition’s fifth cycle before going home.  She has also appeared in One Tree Hill, CSI: Miami, Las Vegas and Hannah Montana.  Amell has been seen in Hung, Heartland, Private Practice and more.
