Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been hospitalized for a blood clot that stems from a concussion she suffered a couple of weeks ago.

Today Clinton was taken to a New York City hospital where she was admitted for a blood clot, which can be life threatening if not caught in time. I am not saying that is the case of Hillary but just a little fact there. The State Department has revealed that it believes her current condition was caused by a fall she took two weeks ago. The fall was due to the former First Lady being super dehydrated thanks to a bad stomach virus she had at the time.

The clot was discovered earlier on Sunday when Clinton went to see her doctors for a follow up visit. She was immediately taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital where she is being treated with anti-coagulants. Hillary will reamin in the hospital for at least 48 hours so that the condition of the blood clot can be monitored. Guess she will be ringing in 2013 in a the hospital which sucks but better safe than sorry I say.

A spokesperson for Hillary Clinton had this to say about her being hospitalized for a blood clot.

“Her doctors will continue to assess her condition, including other issues associated with her concussion. They will determine if any further action is required.”

It looks like Bill’s wife is in very good hands and that the proper action is being taken so that she will be ok. It is a good thing she went to see her doctor today that is for sure. Here is hoping that this is just a little hiccup so to speak and that Hillary will be at home with her family very soon. If you have any additional information on this breaking news or just want to share your thoughts on the subject please feel free to do so.

Here is wishing Hillary a speedy and safe recovery!
