Last night Barbara Walter’s 10 Most Fascinating People of 2012 were revealed.  It was quite an hour and half of television, with some pretty freaking awesome interviews and the revelation of who was in fact the most fascinating person of 2012.

It is an annual list and special put on by ABC and Barbara each year that basically high-lights the most talked about and influential people of the year. 2012 was one heck of a year and I don’t know how they chose who made the list but none the less the ten people have been revealed. Before I get into my thoughts on this let me share with you those who made the coveted list.

General David Petraeus
Ben Affleck
Hillary Clinton
E L James
Honey Boo Boo
Prince Harry
Gabby Douglas
Chris Christie
Seth MacFarlane
One Direction

If you watched the special you know that she interviewed everyone except Honey Boo Boo and Prince Harry. General Petraeus may have been the most fascinating of the year but it was her interview with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie that really impressed the masses. If you missed it you can check out that segment in the below video clip.

Over all I would say that I do agree with her list. I mean basically to me the list is the people that really made headlines in the year and everyone on that list did. Whether it was good headlines or bad those are the people that well people were talking about. That being said really Honey Boo Boo, wtf is up with that show, that kid, that family. It makes me sad that in our world someone like her makes such a coveted list.

For those of you think that General Petraeus got the number 1 spot because of his affair you would be partially right. Walters said he was chosen not because of the affair but because of his military accomplishments and the affair. So basically if have a influential position or are super famous have a scandalous affair and you might make the list too.

The list is definitely the most talked about people, I don’t know that they are the most influential but tha tis not for me to decide. What do think about the list. Do you agree, disagree or simple just have your own two cents to add, let me know.
