Kristen Stewart is starting to become the queen of gaffes. Following the outrage over her cheating scandal, she now decided to make a very poorly worded statement about the director of her current film, On The Road.
In fact, she told MTV News that Walter Salles “…puts so much inside of you.” So obviously it takes a perv to take that one in the wrong direction, but it’s not like she’s a dummy. It sounds like she could have either been doing this to get some more attention. Maybe she is riding the wave following the scandal and has just decided to try to benefit from it.
Or maybe she just has really bad timing.
In another interview, she went on to say:
“Once we got on set, it was so about just breathing and letting it happen. He put so much trust in us…So it was like, ‘OK, so I have to take my clothes off?’ It’s so not a big [DEAL]…anything that feels guarded, in this particular movie especially, would just be so against the spirit of it.”
So this guy makes her comfortable being topless. I’m starting to wonder if these directors pick her because of some rumor we don’t know about.
The statements to MTV are only one of a few different things she has even said in public since the whole cheating scandal. She was in some kind of secluded mode after the scandal, and everyone was sure that her fans would turn on her.
Afterall, the female centered fan base of Twilight has to take Edward’s side, right?
With that said, she had some surprising support from fans, who waited all night to meet her at the Toronto film festival. One of them had a sign that read “Talent, beauty, strength and courage, we stand by you, Kristen always.”
Maybe she can recover from this after all. I just can’t wait to see how the Twilight premieres go. That should be interesting.
