Well things haven’t calmed down at all when it comes to the R-Patz rumor mill. First, he was getting back with Kristen, then he wasn’t. Next he was hooking up with Reese Witherspoon, then he wasn’t. What’s next?
Well, naturally another young celebrity is on the list. This one just abruptly ended a marriage, and even dated heartthrob John Mayer. I can see where she would be a likely target.
The rumor has it that Pattinson and Perry sat down for an official date together. Some sites even claim to have text message evidence. GASP! The sites say that they met for a date in the SOHO district of New York City.
As much as we would like to believe something like this, I have found out it isn’t true. The king of celebrity rumor denials, GossipCop, says that this is a totally ‘pants of fire’ lie.
They point out specific things about the HollywoodLife article that originally posted the rumor. For example, the site says that they have a history together, which is actually just a normal friendship.
Sure, Rob may have reached out to friends when the break-up happened. He may have even called up Katy to help console him, but that doesn’t mean they hooked up.
So our ruling lies with GossipCop. This is definitely not true, especially considering one of Katy’s reps denied that they ever met for dinner.
I hate to mention it, but if there are some photos to back it up, then we might have something.
You know, sort of like photos of an old creepy director getting it on with a young actress who is already in a relationship.
Now those kind of claims have more pull online. Don’t you think?
So for now we will put the rumor out of our minds. But I still wonder who the next lucky lady will be. Any predictions?
