Natalie Portman wed Benjamin Millepied yesterday. It was a wedding fitting for the super private couple that met while filming The Black Swan.
Ever since the Oscars back in March there has been the question of whether or not Natalie and Benjamin had secretly gotten married. If you recall the duo each showed up to the ceremony wearing what looked like wedding bands. Well as it turns out they were never hitched but that all changed yesterday when the actually got married. Now the wedding could have been more ceremonial and they actually did tie the knot before but that we will never know my friends.
According to People magazine the couple was married in beautiful Big Sur. The now husband and wife were surrounded by family and friends, including their 14 month old son Aleph, as they said their I Do’s in a Jewish ceremony at a private home. The couple of three years got engaged back in 2010 not too long after Portman and Millepied revealed that they were expecting their first child together.
As I said above they are a very private couple, which is why many wondered if they had not secretly married but didn’t feel the need to reveal it. Their romance began as a secret when they started dating on the set of The Black Swan back in 2009. Benjamin served as choreographer for the film. Natalie as we all know cleaned up at awards season for the film and that was when the couple first went public with their romance. Although with her burgeoning baby bump it was kind of hard to hide they were together.
