Sharon Osbourne has caught many by surprise after tweeting the news that she plans to leave ‘America’s Got Talent’.

Sharon Osbourne has shocked fans and show runners of ‘America’s Got Talent’ after tweeting the news that she is leaving her position as a judge on the series.

The wife of Ozzy Osbourne, sent a tweet today to her co-star Howard Stern stating, “My darling @HowardStern, money is not the reason I’m not returning to @nbcagt.”  The celebrity did not divulge any other details about leaving the show.

The tweet comes after a message that was written on Howard Stern’s Twitter page.  Stern “isn’t sure if he’ll do another season and says Sharon Osbourne may not come back unless she gets more money,” the message said.

A comment that Fox President of Alternative Entertainment, Paul Telegdy, commented on saying he would be “thrilled if Howard wants to return.”

At this point many are unsure about what is going on, including the network.

Since Osbourne’s tweet,  Robert Greenblatt, the entertainment chairman of the NBC Network, has issued a statement over the unexpected news.  Saying, “I have nothing to say about Sharon Osbourne. We don’t even know what is going on. It is probably much ado about nothing.”

After talking with a source, who wishes to remain anonymous, the Washington Post has pointed out that Osbourne does have a multi-year contract with the series, “said a person familiar with the production.”  So far representatives for Osbourne have yet to issue a comment on the judge’s possible departure from the competition series.

What do you think Talent fans?  Is Osbourne planning to make an exit?  Does it have anything to do with the antics of shock jock Howard Stern? Or is her schedule with The Talk and the NBC series too much?  Leave us your comments below.
