In a new PEOPLE Magazine article, the former RHONY star dished some super inside information about just how hard it has been to be a married celeb. She even admitted to some serious marital problems in the past.
Bethenny’s quick rise to celebrity status was something that surprised everyone. She was just the square-jawed woman on RHONY that was a fast talking wannabe entrepreneur. But all of a sudden she made it. She was the break out star of the show, and when her Skinny Girl brand was purchased for millions, she had officially become a celebrity.
If you follow her show “Bethenny Ever After,” you know that things haven’t always been perfect. She and Jason have very different personalities, and it seems like he is a little too safe at times. She talked about some of those issues in the mag.
Here are some snippets:
On their marital problems, she said:
“We’ve been scared…The second year of marriage was not easy. We hit bottom, [but] we came out the other side.”
On the future, she said:
“I think we have what it takes to make it work,” she says. “I don’t have a backup plan. It’s not like shopping for shoes and getting a new pair. That’s not what it’s about.”
One thing you can never say about her is that she is fake. She seems to be such a straight shooter and a really honest person. That’s why she has such a big appeal to other people. As for what’s happening after her Bravo show wraps this year? Well, her talk show is most likely going to be picked up for a full season.
Good for you Bethenny, and I hope you and Jason work it out. I know I’ll miss her on reality TV. She was the only sane one on RHONY, that’s for sure.
