Jennifer Lopez has shared her thoughts on the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorce.
The recently divorced Jennifer Lopez has spoken out, offering her sympathies towards Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in light of their impending divorce that many are predicting will turn ugly.
Talking to Entertainment Tonight, the now former Idol judge says she is sad for them after hearing the news. “I heard about it when I was in South America and I was stunned. They’re both really lovely people, and just like Mark and I, it’s not what you want to happen. You fight and you try until you realize you can’t anymore.”
Adding,”I just wish them, you know, peace in their decision. And really for Siri and their other children as well, because you become such a family, it’s not just Siri, it’s Conner and Isabella and everybody, you know, who all become a family. And when that breaks apart nobody wins, everybody’s heartbroken in some way. And I just wish them peace.”
As many will remember, Lopez was part of a highly publicized divorce herself with Mark Anthony that made major headlines, with many media outlets weighing in on the couple’s private matters.
Things seem to have calmed down for JLo in recent times, the ‘On the Floor’ singer is now happily dating Casper Smart and has been seen in public with her ex-husband Anthony in a united front. Lopez has however been in the news for her decision to leave American Idol. Telling outlets just a week ago before announcing her plans, “The decision is like this close to being made. It pulls at me, I love it. But I also know that there’s a lot of things that I put aside for it and I just don’t know how much longer I can do that.”
