American Idol has lost another judge. Jennifer Lopez confirmed this afternoon that she will in fact be exiting the show.

During a chat with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show On Air With Ryan Seacrest, via phone interview Lopez shared she thought it was time to leave the reality show.

“I honestly feel like that the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I do that I’ve put, kind of, on hold, because I love Idol so much … You have a lot of other responsibilities and you have a lot of other things that you do, and you have to pay attention to that too. I could keep just doing Idol for the rest of my life but that would be giving up a bunch of other things, and I just … I don’t know. I feel like we had an amazing run,”

Although that wasn’t an official “I am leaving statement” shortly after the interview Ryan sent a Tweet confirming what many of us were expecting. Jennifer was dunzo with the show.

“Just confirmed w/ @JLo she’s made up her mind…will leave idol. :( gonna miss her”

Can’t really say this news is shocking. Even in her Today show interview with Natalie Morales yesterday the singer/actress was clearly torn about the show but kind of seemed like she was leaning toward exiting.

This confirmation comes just one day after the news that Steven Tyler was officially leaving AI. There is no word yet on what is going on with Randy but let’s be honest he will resign,. It will be Ryan and Randy along with a couple of yet to be named new judges for the 12th season of the show.

What are your thoughts on shake-up going on at American Idol right now?
