Justin Bieber was hit with a speeding ticket after reportedly driving fast and dangerously down the Hollywood Freeway this weekend.
Eighteen year old Justin Bieber was busted by the police and issued a speeding ticket after the mega star was cited for speeding and reportedly driving recklessly.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Bieber was pulled over at 10:45am. “Two vehicles were seen traveling in a reckless manner southbound on US 101 near Coldwater Canyon,” the CHP shared. “It appeared the second of the two vehicles was chasing the vehicle in the front. A traffic stop was made on the lead vehicle, and the driver was identified as 18-year-old Justin Bieber. The second vehicle fled the area and (a) follow-up investigation is underway to determine the identity of the driver as well as the charges to be filed.”
Since being served with a speeding ticket TMZ has shared that Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine was on the freeway and spotted Bieber’s incident. Zine “was on the 101 Freeway when he saw Justin in his chrome Fisker (sports car) roaring down the freeway at speeds that Zine says exceeded 100 mph.”
The councilman apparently called 911 to shared what he saw. “Zine tells us Bieber was trying to shake a team of paparazzi—not TMZ—that was on his tail,” TMZ reported. TMZ reported that the CHP was investigating the paparazzi “for creating a hazardous situation.”
Zine also went on to add that Justin Bieber should be reprimanded for his actions by being thrown in jail. “Bieber was driving like a maniac. He was weaving in and out of traffic. There was hardly any space between cars as he weaved from lane to lane.” Adding, “If I was on patrol, I would have arrested him for reckless driving. I was going 60 and he drove by me like he was in a rocket ship. He was a maniac.”
Bieber’s camp has since released a statement with Scooter Braun stating that Zine “is just a councilman looking for a headline.”

“is just a councilman looking for a headline.”…? Sounds kind of conceited to me, Justin! If you were speeding, you were speeding. You’re to be treated like any other violator of the law! Who does he think he is? o_O
