Lindsay Lohan Driving Ban During ‘Liz & Dick’

June 21, 2012

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan reportedly isn’t allowed to drive while she currently films her role in the Lifetime movie ‘Liz & Dick.  The movie’s production has also come under fire after the Parent Trap star fell unconscious due to her demanding film schedule.

Actress Lindsay Lohan, who is attempting to make yet another comeback, has racked up so many DUI’s it is said to be in her best interest to sustain from getting behind the wheel until production on the Elizabeth Taylor biopic, ‘Liz & Dick’, ends, in accordance with an insurance policy taken out by the production.

The policy is in part said to ensure that Lohan doesn’t pull any of her usual antics, holding up filming on the TV movie.  The actress’ recent fender bender where she crashed her Porsche into a semi truck was said to be a red flag.  The rule, according to TMZ, was put in place by the insurance policy.

The production has also caught the attention of the labor organizations International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) and SAG-AFTRA, after Lohan was found unconscious this past June 15th as well as after multiple reports of exhaustion of both cast and crew.

“The IATSE is on top of the situation on the set of Lifetime’s ‘Liz & Dick.’ We have had union representatives on the set since last Friday and will continue to monitor the hours and working conditions there,” IATSE division director of motion picture and television Mike Miller  recently revealed to the Wrap. “We take very seriously the safety and wellbeing of our crews, and are dedicated to seeing that they are protected from hazardous working conditions.”

A representative for SAG-AFTRA also made an official statement surrounding the ‘Liz & Dick’ production.  “We have thoroughly investigated this matter and our business representatives have visited, and will continue to visit, the set of ‘Liz & Dick,’ ” the SAG-AFTRA rep said. “We have spoken with representatives from the company and they are fully aware of their contractual obligations. We will ensure that all applicable penalties will be paid.”

Lohan’s new movie, where she portrays Elizabeth Taylor, has yet to release a premiere date.
