Well this time around, it isn’t just the things she does that make me think she wants to do prison time, it’s the things she says.
According to recent reports, the former Teen Mom star has such a problem with drugs that she is afraid that jail is the only solution. TMZ says that their “sources” revealed that Portwood has been buying a drug called suboxone off the streets.
She even managed to do this while in the drug treatment program that she was court ordered to complete!
The problem all started when she violated a court order by failing a drug test while in the drug program. You have to remember that the only reason she was in the drug program was to keep her out of prison.
The original sentence was actually FIVE YEARS in prison, but a judge gave her one more chance to get her life together.
Now that she failed the drug test, her fate will rest in the hands of a judge, who could very easily decide that she needs the five years to make a difference.
I think with her flat out (allegedly) saying that she thinks the five years is her only hope – you can count on her doing time. You know a person is at a low point when they have lost such self-control that the only hope they have is jail.
All of this keeps me going back to Leah, Portwood’s daughter. Is the little girl not motivation enough?
I just think that if she could somehow get into a program with Dr. Drew Pinksy she could figure this thing out. Sometimes people meet even worse people in prison and don’t ever recover.
We’ll have to wait and see. She needs to remember to be careful what she wishes for.
