After what seems like months of speculation it appears that Britney Spears has finally signed a deal to be a judge on The X Factor.
In the fall Spears will join Simon Cowell, L.A Reid and a yet to be named person at the judges table on The X Factor.. It is no secret that Simon has been working very hard to get Brit Brit to be a part of the Fox show. Although the first season was considered a success it did not bring in the ratings that American Idol, perhaps Britney will help change that.
Although official details of the deal have not yet been released US Weekly is reporting that allegedly Spears signed a $16 million dollar deal for just one season. If that is true then all I have to say is holy freaking moly that is a lot of cash for one season I sure hope Britney is worth it. Even though many media outlets are confirming the deal has been inked I must tell you that there has not been a peep about this from a rep for the singer, the show or Fox.
E! News is reporting that the “Womanizer” singer is beyond excited to join the show. Things sure do seem to be looking good for Spears. She has this new gig and she is getting hitched, boy what a difference a couple of years makes.
I didn’t actually watch The X Factor last season, sorry Simon but I admit with Britney joining the show I will for sure being tuning in for season two. I can’t wait to see not only how she interacts with Cowell but how she is with the contestants. Will she be a tough judge or one who doesn’t like to criticize like Jennifer Lopez, who the heck knows but one thing is for sure things are going to get interesting on the Fox show.
