John Mayer is featured in the August issue of GQ. The sexy guitar god gives an awesome interview where reveals the he laughed at the Saturday Night Live skit “An Intimate Moment with John Mayer & Jessica Simpson� (John was still dating Jessica Simpson at the time of this interview.)

John says of the skit,

I was not pissed off. I laughed. In some ways, the more different the perception is, the more singular the truth becomes. The only thing you need to do is have some f***ing dignity about it.

John also reveals that he cried when Don Lenner, then chairman of Sony, listened to Continuum and said he didn’t hear a single.

He didn’t call me and say it, but he had told my manager. I cried that day. That was a rough day. There were other things going on, and I’d quit music in my head for about forty-five minutes.

This is one of my favorite magazine features so far, the interview really gets you inside John Mayer’s head and allows you to get a glimpse of his perspective. The photos came out amazing as well.
