Some of the cast members from Modern Family are uniting together for more money! Who is holding out for more dough and how will it affect this awesome show? I have all the dirt for you right here.
Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Ed O’Neill, Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson have banded together for hefty salary raises to return for season four. Now before you get too worried that these stars are going the way of the Friends cast or Charlie Sheen, that is so not the case. According to E! online a source inside ABC is claiming that although these cast members do want a raise it is nothing too crazy, definitely not $1 million per episode. Will they get their requested pay hike? That remains to be seen but I have a good feeling about it.
It is not uncommon for core cast members to request a pay increase in the fourth season of a show that is doing well. As you all know the show is killing not only ratings wise but it has also won a slew of awards. Although to some of us it might seem greedy, it is kind of the nature of the business and as long as they aren’t pulling a Friends stunt then hopefully all sides will be able to come to an agreement that pleases all parties involved. I would guess that ABC as well as 20th Century Fox, which is the studio that produces the show, and the cast members want the show to continue to be the huge success it is.
