Biography: Tata Amita Marie Young was born in Thailand on December 14, 1980, the daughter of a Thai mother and an American daddy.

At age 11, Tata beat 5,300 other children to be named winner of the Thailand Junior Singing Contest. She soon released her debut Thai-language album Amita Tata Young which shot to the top of the charts and sold more than 1 million copies in less than five months. At the age of 15, Tata became the biggest pop sensation in Thailand.

She is also a model and actress. Her debut in “The Red Bike Story” earned her the “Best Actress Award” in Thailand presented at the Fourth Annual Blockbuster Entertainment Awards 1997.

She has modeled and endorsed products such as Fuji Film and Yamaha motorcycles and has been featured in international media and on the covers of many fashion magazines around the region. Elle Magazine named her one of Thailand’s “10 Most Influential People.�?
