Does Harry Potter live or die? That is the big question that awaits the world on Saturday, except for a few people who got Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows early and read the fabulous ending. The entire book contents have already been posted on the internet, potentially spoiling J. K. Rowling’s carefully crafted release plans.
A full review of the book was already posted by the New York Times, which ends so eloquently.
The world of Harry Potter is a place where the mundane and the marvelous, the ordinary and the surreal coexist. It’s a place where cars can fly and owls can deliver the mail, a place where paintings talk and a mirror reflects people’s innermost desires. It’s also a place utterly recognizable to readers, a place where death and the catastrophes of daily life are inevitable, and people’s lives are defined by love and loss and hope — the same way they are in our own mortal world.
What J.K. Rowling says on her website is a plea for not spoiling the plot or the ending of the new Harry Potter book.
We are almost there! As launch night looms, let’s all, please, ignore the misinformation popping up on the web and in the press on the plot of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I’d like to ask everyone who calls themselves a Potter fan to help preserve the secrecy of the plot for all those who are looking forward to reading the book at the same time on publication day. In a short time you will know EVERYTHING!
Publishers often try to embargo books before their official release date and are usually unsuccesful. A couple of hundred Harry Potter books leaked out, mostly through the mistakes of bookstore owners and on-line book distribution sources.
Many of them were shipped early, a problem which irked the publisher to no end. Scholastic plans a lawsuit against a distributor, Levy Home Entertainment, and a customer of Levy’s named DeepDiscount.com.

Did you think we would?
