Yes, folks, it’s almost that time. Your favorite dancing show and mine is set to premiere on Monday. My DVR has been programmed to record all season (in case I can’t watch it as it happens), my notepad is ready and I can’t wait to see who can shimmy and who can’t out on the dance floor. Are you ready? Let’s talk about some early favorites who could take home that mirrored ball trophy in May.
It’s hard to believe that this will be Dancing With The Stars’ 14th season. It’s come a long way since the first episode aired back in June of 2005. I enjoyed last season very much, and I’m a little meh this time around in regards to the list of “celebs” who will lace up their dancing shoes on Monday. Latest buzz on some early favorites reveal Extra co-host Maria Menounos as a front-runner. Girlfriend will no doubt look smokin’ in those barely there costumes too, eh? Jaleel White appears to have some swagger on the dance floor as well, contrary to his Steve Urkel persona. Others to watch include Roshon Fegan (from Disney’s “Shake It Up” – if you’ve got a tween like me then you will recognize him) and Martina Navratilova. Martina? Yes, you read that right. I think she’ll be the surprise of the season. We all know what a fierce competitor she is, and once she gets in that mode there’s no stopping her.
