Happy Birthday, Justin Bieber!! Can you believe he’s now 18 years old? Time flies, eh? The Biebs appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres show (which will air Thursday) to make a big announcement but also got one helluva surprise birthday present from his manager Scooter Braun. You know, I really love this kid. I can’t say enough good things about him. Who can forget what he did just recently on Valentine’s Day? He flew 6-year-old cancer patient Avalanna Routh and her family out to New York so they could spend the day together. She had been campaigning on Facebook for a chance to meet the Biebs. He complied with her wish. That story just warmed my heart!
Anyhoo, Justin taped an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today that will air on his 18th birthday, Thursday, March 1st. He had a big announcement to make. Drumroll please…
Justin: My big announcement is that on March 26th my first single is coming out and it’s called “Boyfriend.”
Ellen: That’s exciting. Why is it called “Boyfriend”?
Justin: Basically I’m talking to this girl if I was your boyfriend I would never let you go.
Ellen: Did you write it?
Justin: Yeah, I wrote it with Mike Posner…
And now that surprise gift that I was talking about earlier. His manager Scooter Braun came on stage.
Scooter: You work really really hard. I always yell at you don’t get anything flashy. You know, we’re not about that. Be humble, be humble and I kind of broke my own rule….
So we wanted to make sure your were environmentally friendly and we wanted to make sure since you love cars that when you’re on the road you are always environmentally friendly and we decided to get you a car that would make you stand out….I think you know where I’m going and you’re kind of freaking out right now.
So cute to see Justin just stand there not knowing what to expect next. As Ellen points out to him, it was “a very hard to get car”. Scooter points to the other side of the stage and tells him, “That’s a Fisker Karma.” Just watch the video below!
Well hot damn! What a beauty she is, eh? They retail over $100,000. I’d like one for Christmas. Heh heh.
