This judge is going hard on Teen Mom Amber Portwood. I can’t say I blame him, but I don’t necessarily agree either.
Amber has been in a world of trouble lately, most recently with a drug arrest. The Indiana judge ruling in her case gave her a plea deal which gets her out of jail, but off of Teen Mom.
TMZ reports that ,
Amber has been ordered to live in a halfway house for up to 3 years and get a court approved 9-to-5 job that she must attend at least 5 days a week.
Teen Mom will not count as having a job, and more importantly Amber is banned from taping while in the halfway house. Being she must live in the halfway house for up to three years and maintain a court approved 9 to 5, that puts her reality career on hold.
The judge did ask that MTV not sue Amber for breach of contract, and they agreed.
While I can see where the judge is coming from, I think that it is a bit drastic. Unfortunately no one banned Lindsay Lohan, who has been in a lot more trouble than this chick. And Amber has a kid, so making that kid money is very beneficial to her and the child. I don’t think that banning her from taping Teen Mom is going to make that much of a difference. The girl has had drug issues for a while and just needs to get her life on track.
I wish her the best and I hope she cleans up and does a nice update with MTV in a few years.

I disagree with you about the fairness of Amber’s punishment. Specifically, the bit regarding her participation with MTV. Amber has a drug habit, is physically abusive and most importantly has a small child. Lindsey Lohan has money and no children and resources to get herself out of trouble.
Amber is a high school dropout, she has wasted most of her salary that she earned from MTV. Returning to the pressures of filming is too dangerous for Amber and ultimately for her baby. This girl needs a lot of structure, frequent drug tests and a job so she can learn some responsibility.
