With Jimmy Kimmel serving as co-host to help celebrate Ellen DeGeneres’ 54th birthday (the episode airs today), I can only imagine what will take place during the extravaganza. No doubt some hilarity ensues. The two welcomed “Bridesmaids” and “Mike and Molly” star Melissa McCarthy to the show, who talked about attending her first Golden Globes last week. We’ve got a clip for you to all enjoy as well, which can be seen below.

As you can see by the above pic, Jimmy lets it be known that he’d like to appear in the “Bridesmaids” sequel if there is one. The color suits him, don’t you think? Heh heh.

Melissa attended her first Golden Globes Awards with her hubby Ben Falcone last week and she dished with Ellen about being in awe while in the presence of Brangelina.

Ellen: So you and Ben are talking to Brad and Angelina.

Melissa: So I’m already in some weird altered state talking to Brad and Angelina. They’re so nice and chatty and really bubbly. Finally, I got a little weird and I was like you have to stop for a minute because it’s a lot visually to take in.

Ellen: You said that to them?

Melissa: I did. I said that to them. They just kind of laughed. I said, no really. It is a lot visually to take in. She’s like weirdly glowing. She’s so beautiful. He’s kind of cute too. And then I was like ok. I’m sorry. I needed to like regroup because they’re kind of a lot. They were just like here (in front of her face)

Ellen: That is hilarious.

See, this is why I love Melissa McCarthy so much! She’s so down to earth, so real. She’s a major star herself and yet is blown away to be even talking to Brad and Angie. As if having an encounter with the power couple weren’t enough, someone else made her starstruck as well. She recounted meeting THE Meryl Streep that night…

Melissa: As I’m talking to them somebody is pulling on my hand and I hear Melissa, Melissa. And I turned around and she said, Hi, I’m Meryl (Streep.) Literally like my brain snapped in two. And then I really didn’t know what to say. I just kept going Oh, my god. You’re Meryl Streep. And she was chatting like a normal human being. And I said, oh my god. I’m sorry. I thought over the years so many things if I ever got to meet you what I would say. This is not it. And, she goes Oh my god. Don’t even worry about it…for some reason I felt I need to bookend it with and repeat. Oh my god. You’re Meryl Streep!

LOL, too funny! Can you imagine? “Hi, I’m Meryl.” OMG!!
