Teenage Dream singer Katy Perry has unfollowed her soon to be ex-husband, comedian Russell Brand on Twitter. In the weeks following the end of the couple’s 14 month marriage, and now divorce, several sources have shared that Perry has decided to limit her interactions with Russell after attempting to reportedly get back together, trying to work things out.

Unfortunately Brand reportedly told his bride they should just move on, and there isn’t any chance to reconcile their marriage, leaving a sad Perry to drop him from her account. Since the only communication with the thirty-six year old Katy has had via the phone or by email.

“She’s limiting those interactions,” a source divulged to Us Weekly. “He’s being so atrocious that she feels like she never really knew him.”

Trying to remain strong and confident on the outside, Perry’s friends have been left trying to cheer the Fireworks singer up now that her marriage is over.

Her girlfriends are apparently organizing a ‘newly single’ party for her but she doesn’t really like the idea. She has been quite down. She really thought she could sort it out with Russell. Even with the divorce papers being served she was convinced that a meeting could make him realize why they fell in love.”

While Perry tries to keep her head up she has also come under fire for kissing a fan onstage in Asia while performing on her California Dreams Tour. Taking to Twitter to defend her actions Perry simply told those concerned to settle down.

“Btw, I have *kissed* 1 boy, picked randomly out of the audience, on the cheek as a part of my show for all 125 tour dates. Simmer down now (sic).”
