Don’t worry ladies, the People cover featuring Taylor Lautner’s Gay reveal is fake! Totally photoshopped!
This is just a silly and mean prank. A fake PEOPLE magazine cover is making its way around the internet with the cover story that Taylor Lautner is finally coming out.
It featured a fake quote saying that Taylor is “out and proud,” and felt ”more liberated, and happier than I’ve ever been.”
Even fellow celeb Russell Simmons fell for it and took to twitter to say,
“Proud of Taylor Lautner for his bravery and his courage”
After learning it was not real, he expressed his frustration,
“Disappointed that people would joke about someone coming out about their sexuality. Let Taylor Lautner be whoever he wants to be…”
It is just ridiculous that someone would go through all of that trouble. It is disrespectful to the gay community, as well as to Lautner.
If Taylor is gay, then let him come out on his own. If he is not, then damn! Back off! Who the heck cares? I am so sick of seeing celebrities being backed into corners just because it “comes with the territory.” There are some things that should be sacred.
For example, Just after watching Tori and Dean, I was sad that Tori felt she either had to lie or reveal her pregnancy before she was comfortable doing so. She wanted to wait until the first trimester and she should have that right, but instead it was announced for her. It is just wrong.
I am all for pics, autographs, wedding photos etc. but announcing something so personal is a private decision.
I am sure Lautner will handle this with grace, as usual, which says more than the person who made the fake PEOPLE magazine cover.
