The CW has dropped a new promotional clip for the return of the second half of Supernatural’s season seven. Get the update on what’s next for the Winchesters, and when they will return below.
After leaving fans hanging up in the air when it comes to the fate of Bobby, Supernatural plans to return to the air this coming January 6th, and after watching the latest promo video clip for the Winchesters, things look like they will be heating up.
Of course show runners aren’t revealing too much with the sneak peek, and with Jim Beaver’s (Bobby Singer) latest casting news for FX’s Justified, and a few cryptic tweets, it makes you wonder if Supernatural has really taken a huge risk and killed off the brothers’ longtime father figure, with plans to bring back Castiel back to help. The series is notorious for killing off major players, only to bring them back later on in the story.
When the show does return, we will see Sam and Dean in an episode entitled ‘Adventures in Babysitting’. According to the episode details that have been released, an angry Dean will be on a mission to get even with Dick Roman after what he did to Bobby, while Sam will be busy helping a young girl find her dad, who is a hunter. After checking out the sneak peek clip it looks like Sam gets shot.
A week after its official return, Supernatural’s January 13th episode will feature Dean and his travel back in time to the year 1944, which should bring some hilarious references. His trip will come after he and Sam wind up dealing with the God of Time, who will be played by Veronica Mars star Jason Dohring. Dean will be arrested by Elliot Ness, the famous 40′s Untouchables figure, while Sam has to find a way to bring him back. Sam will also run into an old friend.
