Debra Messing and her husband Daniel Zelman have revealed that they have split up after ten years of marriage.
It was announced today that the Will & Grace actress and her hubby actually called it quits earlier this year but are just now making their separation public. However in an interesting turn of events the couple is reportedly still living together in New York with their 7 year old son Roman and by that I mean living under the same roof. Yep it looks like this separation is quite amicable, which I for one commend them for. After eight years of dating, the couple, who met when they were both students at New York University, married in 2000. Roman was born three years later.
A rep for the actress, who will star in the new NBC show Smash, released this statement regarding the not so sudden split.
Debra Messing and Daniel Zelman privately separated earlier this year after a 10 year marriage. The decision was mutual, and they remain supportive of one another and committed to raising their son as a family.
So what exactly does that statement mean, well that we the public are not going to find out what really went down or is currently going down between the two. More power to them for being able to keep the secret of their separation and continue to be amicable for the sake of their child that is not always the case. I mean to still be living under the same roof shows a lot of respect for not only their son but each other, pretty sure it can’t be easy.
Unfortunately Messing and Zelman are the latest Hollywood couple to call it quits. There sure seems to be a lot of separating and divorcing recently in celebrity couple land. What are your thoughts on the breakup of Debra and Daniel and the other couples that have gone kaput recently?
