America’s Got Talent fans get ready because shock jock Howard Stern is joining the show. Stern has signed on to be a judge. Holy moly good times are ahead for this show.
It is official, the man who will say anything, Howard Stern, will be taking a seat at the judges panel on the upcoming season of America’s Got Talent. He will be taking the seat vacated by Piers Morgan, who left to do his own CNN show. Fans of Stern’s radio show, don’t worry his show is not going anywhere. The AGT production will be moved to New York once the live shows begin airing to accommodate Howard’s Sirus XM Radio show, which just so happens to be where he made the announcement today about his new gig.
In all honesty I was really freaking surprised by this choice and I am pretty sure I am not the only one. This statement made by NBC programming exec Paul Telegdy didn’t really make me any less surprised by the decision to hire Stern either.
Howard Stern’s larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to America’s Got Talent, starting this summer. He’s a proven innovator and his track record in broadcasting is truly remarkable. Howard is very passionate about this show and is fully committed to its future success.
Yes he certainly will bring a whole new dynamic to the show. I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing but one might say that AGT has found their Simon Cowell for the show. Seriously Stern is going to be tough and probably not as nice as Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne.
Like I said I am on the fence about this new addition to the NBC hit reality TV show. I really want to know what you think about this rather interesting choice of judges for AGT so spill it.
