American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino has expanded her family. She welcomed a baby boy yesterday.
The singer gave birth to Dallas Xavier Barrino on Tuesday in North Carolina. The bouncing baby boy weighed in at 7lbs and 9oz and was 21 inches long. That is good size baby I tell you. Little Dallas joins big sister Zion who is 10-years old. I wonder what big sis is thinking of the new family member? According to People.com Fantasia said that her son is very healthy and that she thanks her fans for all of their support.
While performing at charity concert last August, Fantasia announced her pregnancy to the audience having made this statement.
So, this child that I carry – God has given me this child. And I don’t have to hide it from none of y’all.
Quite the announcement I must say. Back in October Barrino shared the news that she would be painting the nursery blue.
Wondering who the father of baby Dallas is, well you are just going to have to keep wondering my friends. The singer is keeping her trap shut on that topic. However she has been linked to Antwaun Cook since 2010. If you recall the two created quite the scandal when they allegedly hooked up while he was still married. I don’t want to get into details of that here because this is about the new man in Fantasia’s life, her son.
Things sure do seem to be looking up for Barrino, who was thrust into the spotlight during season three of American Idol. It was her amazing voice and her heartbreaking story that helped her win the title back in 2003. Her story was later chronicled in a Lifetime original movie.
