Jessica Smith, former Laguna Beach alum, plead guilty to misdemeanor drunk driving on Thursday, related to a car accident she was involved in earlier this year. She was sentenced to three years probation, perform 80 hours of community service, and pay $1300 in fines.
On March 27th of this year, Jessica was arrested on suspicion of DUI when her VW Beetle rear ended a 2003 Acura MDX while on the Interstate 5 freeway in California. She was going 70 mph at the time of the accident. The driver of the Acura and Jessica’s passenger suffered only minor injuries. Jessica was not injured. Rather than not pay the $100,000 bail, Jessica spent the night in jail.
Her former boyfriend on Laguna Beach, Jason Wahler, has had numerous run ins with the law - he checked into rehab in May in order to avoid a sentence of 60 days in jail from a misdemeanor battery charge.
