Amy Smart and Carter Oosterhouse are now husband and wife as the two were married earlier today. Aren’t they such a gorgeous couple? Carter just oozes deliciousness. Amy is a lucky lady!! So what are the details behind their wedding?
Smart and Oosterhouse said their ‘I do’s’ in front of 215 guests. This was no Hollywood over the top wedding, folks, the two exchanged vows in Traverse City, Michigan. She told Us Weekly, “He’s from there and my parents live there, so it’s been my second home since I was very young.” She added, “We feel so excited and blessed to celebrate this happy day with our family and friends.”
Who designed her dress? She wore a Carolina Herrera gown, while her bridesmaids, eight in total, wore navy dresses by Ann Taylor.
Don’t they seem so down to earth? I love that this couple kept their wedding real and not the media circus that surrounded the Kardashian wedding.
The hunky carpenter and the Just Friends actress met back in November of 2010, appropriately enough at an eco-friendly charity event. The two are both known to be quite green — a hybrid is her vehicle of choice and he is the host of HGTV’s Red Hot and Green. Hot, indeed.
After five months of dating, Carter asked for her hand in marriage. While many feel it might have been a bit early to be talking wedding plans after a short courtship, I disagree. It’s like they always say… when you know, you know.
A source close to the couple told Us Mag:
“He’s an eco-carpenter; Amy drives a hybrid and is the greenest girl I know. They are perfect for each other. Here are two wholesome, kind, sweet Midwestern types. Neither has sold out and gone Hollywood.”
