MTV VMAs

Katy Perry is nominated for nine VMA’s which is not at all surprising. I am not her biggest fan, but her Teenage Dream album was epic. While it didn’t produce anything spectacular, they were all great radio plays and getouttamyhead! songs. “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” topped the Hot 100 chart, and made her the only woman in the 53-year history of Billboard to have five songs Number 1 songs from the same album. You can’t deny stats like that.

Coming in right behind her in nominees is Adele who is up for seven, and Kayne West, who is up for six.
