Eleven year old actor Jared Gilmore, who plays the young Bobby Draper on AMCs Mad Men series, seems far from devastated about leaving his thirty-two year old on-screen mother January Jones, aka Betty Draper, behind. But before he leaves to board the ABC pilot show ‘Once Upon A Time’, Gilmore is sending out a warning about the mother to be.

Leaving Mad Men, with the promise of a full time gig on another network (compared to only a seven episode stint in the AMC show), Gilmore said “be careful around January. She’s not as approachable as the others. She’s really serious about what she does.” When asked how January compared to others on set, Jared added, “everybody is so nice.”

Circling the story, E! News decided to take up Gilmore’s claims with John Slattery, while the star was in attendance at the Emmy cocktail reception, held at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in L.A.. What was Slattery to say about the possibility that Jones could be hard to work with?

“Well, it’s an intimidating character,” he said. “I mean, that’s the character. Betty Draper is an intimidating woman I suppose, if you were a 7-year-old boy [or] her son.”

Slattery also pointed out that January isn’t a diva, rather “she’s a sweetheart. We got lucky. We don’t have anybody like that.” Meanwhile, reps for both Gimore and Jones have yet to comment, but in the nature of perfect timing many are now recalling the whole January Jones, Zach Galifianakis episode. The Hangover star also had some problems with her attitude. The actress had called the movie star over to talk before rudely dismissing him.

Galifianakis did put her in her place, per his account, when he said ‘January, you are an actress in a show and everybody’s going to forget about you in a few years, so f—ing be nice,’ and I got up and left.”

Is Jones a true diva or what? Give us your thoughts.

For her not to be all that nice, she sure has a pleasant she. Never judge a book by its cover.
