Lady Gaga’s “You and Imusic video is just what you have come to expect from the pop diva – a long, over-done, self-indulgent twist on the meaning behind her lyrics.

I don’t know about you, but I am just over Lady Gaga already. Her first album was epic. This one was one of those albums that she wrote quickly to get more music out, and it shows.

On August 2nd she tweeted, “The Music Video for ‘Yoü and I’ will be my 1000th Tweet.” The music video was supposed to premiere Thursday but leaked and was taken down, but the damage was done. So Gaga released it early herself saying,

“You must love all + every part of me, as must I, for this complex + incomprehensible force to be true.”

I watched the video and ended up fast forwarding through it. I couldn’t make it the full six minutes. Paparazzi, now that is a music video worth watching several times. I just feel that she takes it overboard. Not everything needs to be over indulgent, sexual, weird fashion, and six minutes to make an impression. She tried to top herself every time and at some point it became old. Epic doesn’t necessarily mean crazy hair, stilettos, blood, kinky sex, and weird dances.

You can check out Lady Gaga’s “You and I” music video below and judge for yourself. I know I am going to get the haters, so bring it. I am not denying her talent – her voice is amazing, she has had some epic moments as an artist. But this just didn’t do it for me. I’m not the only one:

Via Chart Rigger, “I don’t know what goes through Lady Gaga’s mind when she comes up with the sick trash that winds up being her music videos, but her ‘You And I’ clip comes off like a combo of cheesy romance, cutting room floor footage from some lost John Waters flick and the Nebraska Chainsaw Massacre. In any case, this is her best music video from the Born This Way era.”
